This series follows the journey of two friends from opposite sides of the world combining their love of their countries (Argentina and Finland) and beautiful knitwear. Volume 1 marked the beginning of an entirely new approach to designing, and their dream project has evolved to include three beautiful volumes, now available in print for the first time!
Each volume includes six themes: six words with two designs inspired by each word, showing a personal take on each of these themes. These lovely books are destined to become collectors items, not to mention beautiful resources of patterns that you're going to want to come back to time and again.
For this Volume, Joji and Veera worked on our interpretations of the words gather, chromatic, magic, fragile, direction and hidden. For the photoshoot they returned to Finland this time. One of their home countries, it showed them its best and worst: from pouring rain to gorgeously bright and golden evening sun and all the way to misty midsummer night.
For this Volume, Joji and Veera worked on their interpretations of the words kind, curious, free, aged, significant and whole. The setting for the photographs took place in the beautiful medieval city of Potsdam. The old walls and perfect gardens, the aged fences and wild flowers made the perfect backdrop for these images.
For this Volume, Joji and Veera worked on their interpretations of the words pure, grace, unimaginable, focus, quiet and charm. The setting for the photographs took place in cold and mysterious Finland, where the misty coasts invade these images and cover them with a delicate veil.
For this Volume, Joji and Veera worked on their interpretations of the words of subtle, rhythmic, reflection, crisp, sheer and soft. The setting for the photographs takes place in sunny and bright Argentina, and you almost can feel the warmth of the sun when you look at these images.
