Pom Pom Quarterly was founded in 2012 as a quarterly that presents knitting, crochet, and craft in the modern, beautiful, and meaningful way we’ve always known it should be.

Pom Pom Issue 32 - The Spring Issue

Spring is just around the corner to reinvigorate us with longer days and buds bursting forth. We’re welcoming sweet spring breezes with our first theme of the new decade – air.

This precious and fragile element unites us, and our designers translated this ethereal concept into tangible knits and crochet. Each pattern captures the spaces between the stitches, with gauzy mohairs, modern lace, and airy open textures.

Featuring designs by:

AMALIA SIEBER // BRONTË SWANNICK // CAMILA LARSEN ESVEILE // JOJI LOCATELLI // LANA JOIS // MARA LICOLE TAYLOR // MEGHAN FERNANDES // NATALIYA SINELSHCHIKOVA // ROSEMARY (ROMI) HILL // WENCKE PETERMANN

For art direction and styling, we collaborated with multi-disciplinary artist Ocean Rose to capture this collection of atmospheric patterns. Ocean also lends their talents for a how-to on flower arranging so you can create your own welcome to spring with a floating botanical decoration. Your taste buds will be catered for by Kat Goldin’s meringue recipe, and finally we have an interview with body-positive activist and designer Jacqueline Cieslack.

Pause, take a deep breath and find your space this spring.

Pom Pom Issue 29 - The Summer issue

Summer is just around the corner! The nine design in Issue 29 were inspired by ceramic tiles, Terracotta and sand, so expect earthy shades with splashes of colour and organic, repeating patterns. For your summer wardrobe, we have essential tops and tees, a cardigan, a shawl and a crochet bag - all light and breezy for warmer days.

We’re excited that we’ve finally been able to add extra pages to the magazine. This means more room for the gorgeous photography you love, an increased font size, and a wider range of sizes for some patterns (with the aim for all patterns in future issues).

Pom Pom Issue 28 - The Botanical issue

Bursting forth this spring, our botanical-inspired issue sees our designers looking to flora for the seed of their ideas. Issue 28 is budding with your next ‘must make’ projects, and we’re delighted to feature no less that three gorgeous crochet patterns.

In addition to the patterns, we have a lovely lineup of other verdant thoughts for you – Anna Maltz’s musings on plant-based fibres, Rebecca Lawrence’s method for botanical-infused gin, and Paula Goosen’s tutorial for making your own floral lotion bars.

Wherever your crafty pursuits take you this spring, we hope this issue goes some way to helping your creativity flourish, and maybe even flower.
